My Grinch Christmas Tree

This year, along with my standard tree, I thought I would have a Grinch tree. I would have more trees, but don’t enough room for them.
I had made some wooden Grinch ornaments to sell at the fairs, so I already had them.

Then I made some Grinch decoupage fabric ornaments from some clear plastic balls I had. I already had the fabric from the Grinch dog bandanas I make and sell. All I had to buy was the Mod Podge.

At first I used the Matte Mod Podge. I didn’t like the finish so I went and bought some glossy Mod Podge. I liked that much better,

They are super easy to make. You just cut 2 long strips that go around the entire ball from the top around to the top again. Probably about 1-1/2 wide. I cut a piece of paper as a pattern.

The I cut little teardrop shapes to cover the pieces between the strips. They don’t have to be perfect.

Put the Mod Podge on the plastic clear ornament itself where you be putting the first strip.

Do the same for the second strip.

Then, do the same for the teardrop pieces.

Then Mod Podge over the entire ball.

Carefully stand on the open end to dry.

When dry, put the hanger back into the ball. Put a decorative ribbon on to hang.

I had some lime green pampas grass garland to sell in my Amazon store, so I used that for the garland. It was perfect.

I also had some ball garland that was Grinch colors, so I used that as well.

I decorated with the Mod Podge balls and wooden Grinch ornaments I made.

I had some miniature Grinch stuffed dolls I was going to make mini wreaths with and never had time, so I stuck them in the tree as well. The only ornaments I bought were some round wood ones (like the red one in the picture) from Amazon.

The entire tree came out pretty good and I can add to the ornaments year after year. I love the green pampas grass for garland.
