I don’t usually post frozen pies but I think this is an exception. I bought this frozen pie at my grocer the other day. I decided to bake it last night. THIS PIE IS SUPER DELICIOUS! Everything you would expect from a fresh pie you bake yourself!
I’ve had a lot of frozen pies because lets face it…we all don’t have time to make a fresh one.
The crust on this pie is just like a fresh one. Flaky and tender.
The filling is fresh apples and soft (not hard like most pies) with just the right amount of spices.
The price tag on it was $ 17.95, but was well worth it. I see they have them at Wegman’s, Meijer, Cub, Ingles, Tom Thumb, Safeway, Bakers, Randalls, Fareway, Hyvee, Heb, Lowes Foods, Dierbergs and Albertsons. The store I bought it in is not listed, so there may be other stores that have it. Google it.
They only had apple and cherry pies at my grocer, but I am noticing they have loads of varieties on their website. But buyer beware…the pies on their website are $64.50! I suspect that is for the dry ice they have to be shipped in and the air freight they have to pay to get it to you quick. Believe me, I know how expensive air freight is….
They even have mini pies as well.
I will definitely be buying more to keep in the freezer!
Thank you Village PieMaker for making a quality product!
