There’s nothing more satisfying than making a gift for someone. Whether it’s for Christmas, a birthday, anniversary or “just because”!
This year I took an inspiration from Laura at “Garden Answer” channel and made these great Narcissus Bulb planters.
Let’s face it…most of us are inside all Winter. No outside gardening, no flowers, just hibernation. Unless of course we are lucky enough to have a heated greenhouse. I hope this happens for me this year. I would probably live in there. These Narcissus bulbs are a sure bet to lift your spirits in no time.
They are beautiful to give, and will transform your otherwise drib-drab Winter into a thing of beauty.
They are super easy for anyone to grow. Just give them water and some sunshine and you are well on your way to happiness.
They are very economical to make!
I bought a bag of bulbs.
I bought three clay pots and saucers which were also very reasonable.
Put some potting soil in each pot almost to the top.
Place bulbs in root side down. Add a little more soil if needed between bulbs.
Top with moss.
Take the saucer and invert on top of the planter.Â
Tie with twine.
Decorate with fresh dried floral and greenery or artificial.
The receiver easily can remove the decorations on the saucer that are hot glued down, and put under the pot. Give a little water and watch the magic happen. It may take about 4 weeks to bloom, but soon you will see beautiful blooms.
These are best made in the Winter when bulbs are in plentiful supply and bulbs are healthy.
