Tristan’s Garden Salad

My grandson is SIX YEARS OLD! Six Years Old! But yet, he comes to my house ahead of Christmas Eve and immediately gets his stool, his chef’s knife and the veg ready to make his salad!
Yes, you heard it, his chef’s knife! I taught him how to shape his fingers when cutting, and he is very careful about the knife.

He cut ALL of the vegetables for this salad all by himself!

He has a tendency to cut a little small, but I allowed him to do his own thing.

We even cut shapes from cookie cutters out of cheddar cheese slices to decorate it.

I think he did a fantastic job helping Grammy with the Christmas Eve cooking chores!

He’s going to be a great cook!
