I have some favorite blogs I subscribe to and one of them is Perry’s Plate. I found this recipe for Maple Glazed Apple cookies. I want to put on record, these cookies are one of the best cookies I have ever made! Moist, like a little cake, the apples are actually cooked (I was wondering if they would when putting them on the cookie sheet), and the maple icing is a perfect finishing touch (although you can make them without it, if you don’t want all that sweetness)! They are so easy to make and I baked them in my small oven, because my big oven is in need of an ignitor. As you can see, I didn’t let that stand in my way of trying these cookies. Wow, I’m glad I did!
Apple Cookies with Maple Frosting
½ c. butter, softened (4 oz or one stick)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2-3 Tbsp. milk
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Bake at 400° F. for about 10-12 min or until tops don’t look wet anymore.
To make the glaze, whisk together all glaze ingredients in a small bowl. When the cookies have cooled for a few minutes, drizzle each cookie with glaze.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
