Description

Sweet, sour, spicy. This is the perfect Teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 Tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons cornstarch plus 2 tsp water, mixed together to make a cornstarch slurry
1/4 teaspoon (more or less to your taste) crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

Add all of the ingredients to a small saucepan. Using a whisk, blend together. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for about 1 minute. Sauce should thicken.

Notes

When sauce is cooled, this can be put in a jar and kept in the refrigerator for future use.
