Ingredients
Scale
2 lb. carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
2 lb. turnip, peeled and cut into chunks
4 Tbsp butter
Salt and Pepper
Handful (or less) Brown Sugar (optional)
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup (optional)
Instructions
In separate pans, cook turnip and carrots in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes or until done.
Mash separately and put in a strained to let some of the water out of the vegetables.
Add butter, salt and pepper to taste, and if desired, maple syrup and/or brown sugar.
